As I studied about Matthew 7 on whose will enter the kingdom of heaven, I came to realized that no matter how much I think I had done for God, if I do it without LOVE, then I gain nothing.
God requires us to do His will, but on top of that did we do it with love?
It is a good reminder for me to check myself, whether I have love in all things that I does. I think many a times, I don't. Think about that, it's wiser for me to understand what LOVE is all about.
I find the answer in 1 Corinthians 13:1-4.
Love is:
- patient
- kind
- does not envy
- does not boast
- it is not proud
- it is not rude
- it is not self-seeking
- it is not easily angered
- it keeps no record of wrongs
- does not delight in evil but rejoices in truth
- always protects
- always trusts
- always hopes
- always perseveres
- Love never fails
