Sweet Hair Pin

This is what I done getting the inspiration from a creative blogger. The best part of it, this ribbon hair clip is so easy to make, probably it only take less than 5 minutes for even a beginner like me. It would be a great gift to those who love to adorned their hair with pretty accessories. I'm going to get more interesting ribbon pattern and make it for my friends as New Year pressie as I couldn't make it on this Christmas.

Step 1:
Get ready 4 pieces of ribbon in different length (for this project, I use 21cm,20cm,19cm,3cm)
Step 2:
Stick the end of the ribbon together to create a circle, then put a little bit of glue in the middle of the ribbon. Press the ribbon so the top & bottom stick together. Repeat step 2 for the 3 longest ribbon.

Step 3:
Once done, put the ribbon together, starting from the longest to the shortest. Use the 3cm ribbon to wrap the 3 ribbon together.

Step 4:
Cover the top part of the bobby pin with ribbon. Once done, stick the ribbon that you had made on the pin & it's done.

What is Love in 1 Corinthians 13:1-3

As I studied about Matthew 7 on whose will enter the kingdom of heaven, I came to realized that no matter how much I think I had done for God, if I do it without LOVE, then I gain nothing.

God requires us to do His will, but on top of that did we do it with love?

It is a good reminder for me to check myself, whether I have love in all things that I does. I think many a times, I don't. Think about that, it's wiser for me to understand what LOVE is all about.

I find the answer in 1 Corinthians 13:1-4.

Love is:
  • patient
  • kind
  • does not envy
  • does not boast
  • it is not proud
  • it is not rude
  • it is not self-seeking
  • it is not easily angered
  • it keeps no record of wrongs
  • does not delight in evil but rejoices in truth
  • always protects
  • always trusts
  • always hopes
  • always perseveres
  • Love never fails

Recycling oh recycling !!!

Front view : added some dried flower & chiffon ribbon to make the texture look richer...

From the inside: 12 separate compartments was added...

I had so much fun creating this jewellery box using old moon cakes box, old magazines, dried flower, button & ribbon. It took me 2 days to complete it. The process was fun as you can't expect the outcome. All you need is just let your free hand & creativity do the job!

The result was pretty awesome as compared with the per-decorated & ordinary looking box.
I think this would be a great gift of love to my cute buddies & sista!
